my very first 2009 christmas celebrations!
our 2009 christmas celebrations came reallly really early this year: 11 Dec 2009. and once again, i am tasked arrowed to do wat i am best at... playing games!
and these are the games, absolute FUN! (click to enlarge!) ping me for answers!
and these are the games, absolute FUN! (click to enlarge!) ping me for answers!
BBQ, monoploy & sequence
SEQUENCE:
a game that created a lot of hoo-har from the start of the retreat! first of all, peter combed the nation to get it at $49.90. apparently it was one of some last 3 sets. den all of us seemed to fight over the game. and when i finally got to play the game, guess wat, it was a SILENT game, i.e. all of us arent supposed to have 'table talk' nor 'coaching'. arghs.
at the end of the day, it was a pretty exciting game (albeit the silence). a acquired taste kinda feeling. ha. u may consider grabbing of the last 2 game sets in singapore, or alternatively, borrow from me to zap the board, and throw in 2 sets of playing cards. =p
it's bday celebrations again!
once again, we were more interested in food den taking photos of ourselves. checked out the new marche at 313 @ somerset (NOT 313 tau sa pia, zzz.) the food's nothing compared to the very fierce session of XLB we had juz abt 2 weeks ago, but nonetheless good (cos we spent a good deal of time laughing at silly jokes/pple). hah.
and tis my very-"WELLNESS" gift for the monkey. ha.

random thoughts of a deluded gymmy

- weights should remain on the bells, not on me.
- white tops are no no if u aint that slim.
- classes should be named after food, e.g. christmas goodies. corresponding to the no. of calories they burn. ha, and...
- if i can't decrease my waist size, i shall increase my boobs and butt size.

i need to do myself justice
what your desk says about you...
1) Post-It Notes
If these reminders are in a prime position, like the bottom of your computer screen, they show you’re efficient and keep the projects that are pending close to you so you can deal with them quickly.
2) Cookies & Candy
A well-placed jar of snacks shows that you’re sociable and welcome colleagues stopping by your desk.
3) Greenery
Healthy plants indicate that you’re a conscientious and dedicated worker. Dead plants? You’re overwhelmed by work or…. you just have black thumbs!
4) Awards
Well-mounted certificates and awards mean you want everyone to acknowledge your achievements. Those kept in a personal space serve more as a daily self-esteem booster.
5) Cards, Photos & Soft Toys
If openly displayed, you’re a sociable and well-liked individual. A private ‘stash’ is a reminder of your support system at work.
6) Quirky Stuff
Anything unexpected and different, like original artwork or vintage postcards, shows that you’re creative and an independent worker.
7) Books
Good fiction or language books signal intelligence and the desire to learn.

neva quite like weddings for the simple fact that we gonna wait till 8ish till our food is served. so ended up camwhoring of nearly every single thing in sight. and for me, i can only rely on my not-so-good camera phone (while waiting earnestly for my DSLR to arrive, heh).
oh well, i muz say the food is worth the wait. especially if i have 4 other cousins at the same table under the age of 10. wahahaha. so i eat more!
me and my attempt to look awake with some fake eyelashes. boy, they are heavy.

One in 10 men...
...often completes an SMS to another male with a kiss... WHAT IS THIS?!?!
MEN have become so openly affectionate with each other using mobile technology they've taken to signing off text messages to male friends with a kiss (x), giving rise to a new generation dubbed 'Metrotextuals'.
New research from mobile phone firm T-Mobile reveals nearly a quarter of men (22%) regularly include a kiss on texts to their male mates, T-Mobile said in an emailed statement.
'Metrotextuality' is most widespread among 18-24 year old males with 75% regularly sealing texts with a kiss and 48% admitting that the practice has become commonplace amongst their group of friends.
Nearly a quarter of this age group (23%) even appreciate an 'x' in a text exchange from people that aren't close friends.
But it's not just younger men that have become Metrotextuals - one in 10 men over 55 often completes a text to another male with a kiss, according to the poll.
The research also revealed there's a certain etiquette within metrotextuality. A lower case 'x' is the preferred sign-off for most (52%) compared to 17% for a bolder upper case (X), with one in three sharing the love in a big way with multiple lower case kisses (xxx). -- REUTERS

can't stop having nightmares...
i aint usually that critical, but when i see stuffs/things/people who are exceptionally out of this world (on the negative side of cos), i cant help but be a lil mean and have a good laugh over it.
and today happened to be one of the days i was more than a lil mean... so i tailed this out-of-this-world-scare-you-to-death-dress-sense, and i even took a photo.. oops.
the best thing is, the boyfriend has these words on his shirt "Can't Stop Thinking Of You". *faint* =S

BETA
If you've been playing many (new) games in facebook, you would have notice this word, BETA.
The term "beta" refers to a piece of software or web application that's still being developed. Expect problems with betas and you won't be surprised, but enjoy the thrill of being among the first to use a new bit of software. If you don't like those kinds of thrills wait until the software is "out of" beta.
Well, once again, i've unsuccessfully tried to smoke mmt into believing that i am miss know-it-all. i said beta is the 2nd version, as in alpha, beta, etc... so the third version is... charlie? haha!
i can do pretty well in trying to smoke pple! dun be deceived! whahaha!

Are You a Facebook Addict?
- You lose sleep over Facebook. When using Facebook becomes a compulsion and you spend entire nights logged on to the site, causing you to become tired the next day.
- You spend more than an hour a day on Facebook. It is difficult to define how much is too much when it comes to Facebook usage, but that an average person need only spend half an hour on the site.
- You become obsessed with old loves or exes you reconnect with on Facebook.
- You ignore work in favor of Facebook. This means you do not do your job in order to sneak time on Facebook.
- The thought of getting off Facebook leaves you in cold sweat. If you try going a day without Facebook and it causes you stress and anxiety, this means you need help.
