God uses ordinary people. Like you and I. :)

Moses stuttered.
David's armor didn't fit.
John Mark was rejected by Paul.
Hosea's wife was a prostitute.
Amos' only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair.
Solomon was too rich.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Timothy had ulcers.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Jesus was too poor.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a murderer. So was Moses.
Jonah ran from God.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burned out.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth.
Martha was a worrywart.
Samson had long hair.
Noah got drunk.
Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?
So did Peter, Paul—well, lots of folks did.

baby you will know our love's so sweet

keep on...

I’ve dreamed many a dream that’s never come true,
I’ve seen them vanish at dawn,
But enough of my dreams have come true
To make me keep dreaming on

I’ve prayed many a prayer that seemed no answer would come,
Though I’d waited so patient and long;
But enough answers have come to my prayers
To make me keep praying on

I’ve sown many a seed that’s fallen by the wayside,
For the birds to feed upon
But I’ve held enough golden sheaves in my hands
To make me keep sowing on

I’ve trusted many a friend that’s failed me
And left me to weep alone
But enough of my friends have been true-blue
To make me keep trusting on

I’ve drained the cup of disappointment and pain,
And gone many a day without song
But I’ve sipped enough nectar from the roses of life
To make me want to live on

**********

alright alright. lately there seems to be ALOT of ministries in the limelight. my kids serve in the usher ministry, the nursery ministry in church. and here we are, in the CG ministry.

apart from the usual govt and state ministries, we have the reputable Ministry of Sound.

and den my latest discovery... the Ministry of FOOD. yes, FOOD! pretty delectable food they serve over there. and affordable as well!

so i suppose, in the end, everything that a person does, or a company operates, can be considered a ministry. can someone rope me in into the ministry of ... erm shopping?

must try: the macha soft serve ice cream, with sweet potato or something.

Psalm 27:5

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

my lil lunch adventure...

today, we went to lunch at east coast road! had the famous beach road prawn mee. a bowl that seemingly looked like it cost $3.50 at a food court is $5 there! but the prawns are really fresh. and huge.

wanted to head towards werner's oven for some german bread. (dun understand, lah. bread = bread, who cares german or french or singaporean...)

but we didnt take long to reckon that it's abit out of point, especially under the hot sun. and so
we took a bus (yes, a bus! squeezing with all the temasekians and the st.patricians? machiam excursion can!) to bedok camp and eat the ye lai xiang cheng tng. hehe. for a hot day like today, dat is heavenly. (not for long)

cos soon enough we crossed the road (under the HOT sun) over to cold storage to get munchy! yay! even teabreak is planned for!

so here i am in the office, thinking of desperate measures to shed some pounds off yy. hahahha.

p.s. mel, next time we go ok? :p

the XLB!

oh yes, and lately, i've been into food. good food.

the xiao long bao.. have been craving for it the entire tuesday afternoon. so before meeting at ymca, we zoomed off to PS to hunt for the long awaited XLB.

was disappointed initially that crystal jade didnt have it, but that disappointment quickly dissipated when we found Lao BeiJing on the 3rd floor! hehe..

being the C person i am, i did my sums. a XLB costs $1 each, with gst and stuffs, prolly $1.18. not too much in exchange for a nice satisfying meal, is it?

we, the ambassadors of Carl's Jr!

hehe... we're inspired by he who shall not be named. so we want to be ambassadors of Carl's Jr too! wahahaha...

for obvious reasons of cos.. the food is great.. (juz wat else are u thinking abt?... hehehe)

donuts donuts and more donuts!

have eaten quite a number of donuts since the start of the donut frenzy.. (think bubble tea). now with all the donuts outlets popping up like wildfire.. i wonder if any of them is gonna burst soon..

1. donut factory
i do believe that tis was the first outlet since the onset of donuts.. tim queued for 3 hours juz for a dozen of them! nice packaging they have.. check it out here. ever since, many different 'factories' started their operations. u name it, we have it. chocolate factory, brownie factory, how abt cheng tng factory? :P

2. vinco donuts
situated at vivocity. once i beat the queue and had 21 boxes of 1 dozen each delivered for an event. nice!

3. dunkin donuts
used to have a tiny outlet in singapore. but they have moved out since. i think they still have some delivery every now and then though. all thanks to some entrepreneurial brain.

4. munchy donuts
the latest addition. or at least the latest one i've tried. they have choc banana!!! their motto: one is not enough! (indeed...)

5. krispy kreme
not available in SG. had it once or twice when frens return to sg from holiday. verdict: sugar HIGH.

polling time... which do you think have the nicest donuts in town?

My Daily Bread...
