on jill lowe

come june, we are so privileged to hold a jill-lowe image class for our kids at the youth camp! it's amazing how God can bring pple into our lives. i mean, how many of us can walk along the streets and spot the founder of a huge company who happened to be your old-time friend and successfully invite her to come teach at a uber affordable price? the kids will be so blessed!
*simply blown away*

1.u call up your friend while you are working so that she's able to get that long coveted brolly from takashimaya while u're at work.
2. u rather starve during lunch and squeeze in an hour of shopping at a nearby SALE.
3. u walk from bugis to city hall in 5 minutes juz so dat u're able to get into the last 5 minutes of the coach private sale.
4. u shop in 3 topshops juz so dat u can get that top u were eyeing at the first shop, but they didnt have your size.

7. u neva ever get married, cos there's simply not enough money to do so. =(

thought of the day: CHARISMA

"How can you have charisma? Be more concerned about making others feel good about themselves than you are making them feel good about you."

finally, another holiday on the calender.. been a busy sunday..

got up at 6+am to rush for a 7am prayer meeting.. i admire the koreans who wake up at 5am every day to pray. no wonder they can raise the dead.

woke up again at 11+am to rush for another prayer meeting.. some day i will raise a dead.

**********
monday was sluggish..

contemplated going to suntan but the weather was too hot. contemplated going for the 2 hour combat (with my fav roger!) but i guessed it would be too crowded. contemplated going shopping, but i've alrdy incurred $1.6k in my CC in a short 1 month's span.

ended up driving to a "i-tot-it-would-be-empty" mall to have lunch at a "i-tot-it-would-be-empty" foodcourt. (oh, i parked perper for the 3rd time!) turned out to be bustling with pple too!
and den went back home to concuss. haha. i am a pig.

byebye hair

they say when a girl cuts her hair, or do something drastic to it, it was cos something drastic happened to her life.

not for me, at least i thought.

for the longest time, i've been keeping the longest, straightest, most boring hair. finally, i mustered enough courage to do something big. hehheh. and i thought that was cos i indeed did muster up courage. maybe subconsciously something really drastic. the death of a dear fren, the death of trust in whom i call friends, the death of expectations. i do have to admit, life has its way of hitting you where you hurt the most. =(

but my God is a God of resurrection, He is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

in any case, welcome the new me. =)

how do you raise a dead?

In 1974, the Korean pastor Yonggi Cho (Seoul) was urgently called to go home from an elders meeting. When he arrived there, he found his 5-year-old son dying. At that time, fruit in Seoul had been poisoned by a deranged person. As Cho was called to his son, 30 other children had already died of the poisoning. Cho told us at a conference: "I simply did not want to accept the death of my son. After hours of intense prayer and crying, he died anyway. Beside myself, I had to watch him grow cold and stiff, yet I still could not give up. I told God I will not leave this room until you give my son back. And my son lived!" Cho's son told his father that he had met Jesus in heaven and that he had seen many dead Christians from Chos church there, who shouted "Look, here comes the pastor's son!" Jesus told him: "I cannot keep you here, because your father will not let you go, so I'll send you back to him."
