had a chance to sneak out of the expo region to kallang for a breather and some sporting action too.. the supporters (mostly made up of girls) were simply amazed by the HUGE fan and appeared to be more intrigued by it than the game. oops.
and then we stole some more time off for another breather on saturday afternoon at orchard! it's fun to shop, even if i aint buying for myself. yay! cant help but snap more xmas decors along the way...

and finally, my birthday! it's G for gladys! luv all my beloved kids... =)

of cos, every big day comes with its fair share of miscommunication, unhappiness, frustrations.. at first thought, all of us have the tendency to tink abt why funny people behave funnily, why people closest to u disappoint and why there are some who accuse you of the very thing they've committed. i too fall into this category.. but as i take some time to count pixels and stop for a moment to think, perhaps, it is more profitable if i were to leave myself with some godly encouragement...

across the counter was a very kind-hearted cashier looking lost and thinking aloud.. and finally he decided to key my order.. as aglio olio ADD bacon, instead of the usual bacon aglio MINUS tomatoes..

guess wat! i saved 40 cents! *wahaha*

i started queuing up to enter a lift... to get to the 12th storey...
and when the sun has risen, i was still queuing... zzz..
BUT! it was all worthwhile.. a refreshing way to start the day.. to seek the Lord.

morning prayer meetings are always a drag. to crucify the flesh to wake up super duper early, but the encouragement from seeing hungry pple seeking the Lord and praying for the nation, and encouragement from the Lord makes it all worthwhile. =)

to wat extent then are we in line with God's will when we follow our heart? juz cos we prayed hard and long enough doesnt qualify so. and most of the time, when we prayed hard and long enough, even if it's not in God's will, He'll still give it to us... isnt it so?

and at the end of the day, if following the heart AFTER praying and seeking God suffices the conscience and hence allows the act, den y are some still spending so much time trying to convince others and self that wat they are doing is rite?

THE gift

every year, during a certain month, every one of us starts getting jittery abt a particular birthday that we are supposed to be celebrating.. the gift we are getting, the card we are making and the cake we are buying..

and this year is no different.

after much deliberation and counting our cost, we came up with the ultimate gift. we decided that it should be BIG. and WOW.

and so here it is... the BIG and WOW donut-wrapped gift and the BIG and WOW card.
really wanna thank all those who had contributed to the gift, be it in finances or in labor. without all of u, this piece of thing would not have become a reality. =)

spent my halloween visiting.. not the trick-or-treat kind, but the genuine-touch-some-lives kind. and of cos, some pet society visiting does help relieve abit of my depression too. haha!

so far this week, i've done the following:

1. chalked a total of $2,590 on my CC, in 1 single purchase.
2. dealt with my uber traditional mind, and am preparing it for more to come.
3. visited j.west twice in 2 days (and 2 more to go during the week).
4. found an equally therapeutic method of relieving stress other than shopping... to separate the beansprouts from the beehoon in my plate of economical bee hoon.
5. travelled from changi to sembawang to woodlands and back.
6. bought a pen from popular.

we all have some lines we cannot cross, and according to my disciplinary master back in school, i like to go as close to this imaginary line as possible without stepping on it.

having said that, there are some lines i definitely do not cross. and when others do, i need a change of mind (to at least convince myself that it is possible).
