sure or not...

Your Name Comes From Mercury
You have the gift of gab, and nothing energizes you like good conversation.

And it's likely that when you're not talking, you're writing. You love communicating your thoughts.

You are also quite studious. You find learning to be both easy and rewarding.

You are good at understanding what is being communicated to you. You also know what questions to ask to better clarify things.

Your Soul Is Connected to the Winter
You approach life with a zen-like calm that other people envy. Nothing rattles you.

You are smart, thoughtful, and very serious. You don't stress out, but you don't take much lightly.

You like to keep to yourself, and you've been called shy - even if you don't consider yourself that way.

You prefer a cozy, quiet life filled with ideas, books, and maybe a few friends.

GI Joe!

my sis had put up this photo abt the GI Joe movie, and namely about Lee Byung Hun. i was thinking.. wan to put, put some nicer, more mesmerising, more handsome, make-heads-turn kinda pics la.. like this:
but according to her, the half naked pic is more.. ahem.. delicious. enuff said.

btw, the "GI" in GI Joe stands for Government Issue and became a generic term for U.S. soldiers, especially ground forces. something new yea?

  • bought a pair of shoes, hehheh.
  • did some grocery shopping.
  • browsed through new book titles in Borders.
  • slept.

CONGRATS! i really admire you guys for taking the step of faith to commit a few months of your life to studying the Word of God.

although many people had asked me, wat do you do after getting the cert.. i've long reckoned that it aint juz all about paper qualifications and where it might bring you to.

anyhow, congrats to AIRDELINE, xueli, peixin, gabriel seow, sen min, etc etc. keke. too many to remember.

and these are the ONLY photos i have from the SOT graduation: the pressie i wrapped for ad, and the sticker album card i made for ad. (all thanks to Jo-ann's BATTERY-LESS camera! zzz.)

gOOdbye my fren...

yet another farewell party...

cat and i went the extra mile to lug the THREE bottles of heavy things back to the office from ntuc. made me wish that no one actually spotted me dragging plastic bags out from a supermarket during lunch time, something which i've always tot only aunties will do. hah.

anyway, food's really tasty! $150 or so for 12 pax worth of food. there's rice (a must for the typical chinese), teriyaki chicken, breaded fish, salad, curry vegetables... might consider catering such stuffs in future (when i leave?) hah.

and as usual, i always conclude with the same question: when will it be my turn to leave?

count on me singapore!!!! (part 2)

as part of our "love singapore" outing, we headed for our outing in RED!
haha... we spent roughly 5 weeks determining which venue should we head for and 4 hours in the office debating whether to take a bus, cab or train before finally deciding on this!

had a quick bite at the la mian stall. it was cheap and good! for me, it's free. ai si surely! =P

wont mind having another outing... someone organise pleeeeaaasssseeee!

fringe: the new series

Fringe: an American science fiction television series which follows an FBI Fringe Division team based in Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of Homeland Security. The team uses unorthodox "fringe" science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate "the Pattern", a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences which are occurring all over the world. The show has been described as a cross between The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone, and Dark Angel.

verdict:
compared to the "Desperate Housewives" series, this is more exciting, less harder to comprehend, albeit the decrease in level of bitchiness and catfights. a must watch!

i've...

  1. put up a 5.0m by 4.0m huge curtain. 4.0m being the height.
  2. sung the Pledge at 8.22pm in the car, thanks to 933FM for the song. =)
  3. cooked maggi mee using the dry stove for the first time.
  4. swam in a swimming pool with water that's not certified ok yet. zzz.

yea, this week's gonna be better.

i am tired of organising meet ups, dinners, and the like. and getting "can't make it", "too busy", "spending time with bf/gf/family/the tuition kid/the dog/etc" as 'reasons'. SO i've decided to let the rest do the planning. and viola~, i'll juz show up! (well even so, i'll prolly show up if there's ample notice of such meetings, NOT last minute stuffs)

i am tired of going around, finding out about the lives of people whom are supposedly under my charge. well, if they have something to say, come to me, not me snooping around trying to find out whether you are satisfied with my level of care and concern.

enuff said. IT'S A BRAND NEW WEEK! tis week's gonna be better.

it's a tough week

dun u ever wonder how come day in day out, u are at the mercy of delusively deranged bosses?

dun u ever wonder how come people around you scream out for attention all the time? so much so it's almost close to demanding for it.

have anyone spared a thought for me? *sigh*

on AWEsome co-workers

Have you ever had people whom you work with who never fail to leave you in awe?

You know, the kind who will never fail to dig every slightest opportunity to ‘delegate’ their work to you. And of cos, they are also the very persons who will ceremonially say “YES” and “OK” to any comments/suggestions given by the Almighty boss, sometimes faster than you can mutter ‘wow’ under your breath.

Well, I do come across a couple or more of such people. It’s indeed a constant struggle trying to convince myself to think that they exist in my life to strengthen my virtues. And to decide whether to stoop to their (low) level to act like them. Perhaps not.

And it definitely does not help a single bit to know that there is a nonetheless patronizing (less than almighty) boss who will condone such behavior as if it is perfectly normal. His/her moods change like the seasons, and I don’t mean the four seasons; more like the menstrual cycle season, once a month, sometimes weekly if the cycle is unpredictable.

Welcome to the real world my friend. The real world where people awe you all the time. Live it. Love it.
